These designs are for a re-design of the Deloitte Consulting website. Our company was asked to differentiate Deloitte from it's competition. Another goal was to figure out ways to get more people to use the valuable whitepapers and research that Deloitte offered on their site.
After a competitive analysis, we found that other consulting sites at the time were using no photos of people or else trendy, cold-feeling photos of blurred business people moving at the speed of light. One of our home page designs featured photos of actual consultants with quotations to make the site a friendlier, more personal experience.
For content, our recommendations were to move a more robust search feature to the top of the page, near the navigation bar. We also featured articles right on the homepage and broke them up by topic or business segment so that people could more easily find content that pertained to them. After the featured article we added a "More articles like this." link.
Article pages featured utilities such as "Email this article to a friend", "Print this page" and "Bookmark this page".
